Does your library service have a mobile library service? Then it’s time to take part in our Mobile Libraries Day 2023 competition.
As part of our annual celebration of mobile libraries we’re giving away £500 to the library service which takes the most creative Mobile Libraries Day photo. This year the awareness day takes place on Wednesday 15th November coinciding with Book Week Scotland.
To take part all you have to do is share your creative photos on social media promoting Mobile Libraries Day 2023 using the hashtag #MobileLibrariesDay2023 and send an email with your most creative photo to info@scottishlibraries.org.
You can find all you need to take part in the Mobile Libraries Day toolkit. The awareness day is organised by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) and supported by the Scottish Government. The event celebrates the vital services mobile libraries provide and the important part they play within Scotland’s communities. You can find out more about how valued Scottish mobile library services are by reading the Libraries of the Move report which was commissioned by SLIC in 2018.
The Mobile Libraries Day 2023 competition is only open to current members of the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC). All entries must be received by Friday November 17th at 12 noon. The winning entry will feature on the SLIC website and SLIC branded social media platforms. Judging decisions are final.
