The Next Chapter Co-design with Young Scot

In 2017 the Scottish Library and Information Council partnered with Young Scot to produce The Next Chapter - a co-design initiative seeking the views of young people in the services they use and how they could be developed.

This collaborative approach saw young people creating, designing and delivering solutions to SLIC.

The panel put forward a total of 25 recommendations which included running supervised activities for young people in public libraries on a regular basis, the provision of creative spaces, and offering the use of more modern technology to young people in libraries.

The report also includes details of a national survey carried out as part on the co-design and reflections from young people who took part.
