Staff Development

The Community Planning Insights Tool brings together relevant data to support the planning and delivery of public library services across Scotland. It is driven by the aspiration to reach those most in need and demonstrate the outcomes.

The SLIC Learning Platform is an online portal which delivers a comprehensive range of digital training courses. It is available to library staff in all of Scotland’s 32 public library services and funded by the Scottish Government.

Our Digital Champions network helps promote digital participation across Scotland’s public libraries. The group is made up of representatives from all 32 public library services in Scotland.

The Scottish Library and Information Council is committed to working towards a greener, fairer and healthier Scotland by 2032 as set out in the Scottish Government’s Climate Change Plan.
