Throughout the year there are a number of international, national and local events which can be helpful for librarians.
These cover a wide range of topics including literacy, education, health and wellbeing and STEM learning.
Using events such as awareness days, book festivals and reading campaigns can be a good way of promoting the vision and aims of Vibrant Libraries, Thriving Schools - The National Strategy for School Libraries in Scotland 2018 - 2023.
You can download the SLIC School Libraries Key Dates poster as a visual guide to help you plan ahead. Below you will also find a list of key events and links to websites which can provide more information. It is not a complete register but rather a list of suggestions you may find helpful.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the School Key Dates list you can email info@scottishlibraries.org
