SLIC’s Digital Champions help promote digital participation across Scotland’s public libraries. The network is made up of representatives from all 32 library services in Scotland.
The group meets up regularly throughout the year to share the latest innovations and ideas which could benefit Scotland’s library services. It also gives Digital Champions the opportunity to discuss ongoing digital projects happening within their own library service and network with colleagues. Topics covered in previous meets ups have included 3D printing, library film clubs, virtual technology and more.
Digital Champions promote and support digital innovation throughout Scotland’s public library services. They also help to implement some of the strategic aims of Forward: Scotland’s Public Library Strategy 2021–2025. They share and embed best practice across Scottish public library services, providing training and information to colleagues.
