David McMenemy is Senior Lecturer in Information Studies at the University of Glasgow. He has over twenty years’ experience in academia and spent 15 years working in public libraries beforehand.

David was previously a Trustee and Board member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professions (CILIP). His research interests encompass information law and ethics, including intellectual freedom, and freedom of expression, freedom of access to information, digital citizenship, privacy, and the philosophy of information. David has also extensively researched around public library policy and development in the UK.
