SLIC Champions

SLIC Champions Networks bring library colleagues together from across Scotland to share knowledge, spark ideas and strengthen connections between sectors, services and local authority areas. Each network creates space for discussion, peer learning and practical collaboration, helping library staff explore new approaches and respond to changing community needs.

While each group has its own focus, the networks share a common purpose: to promote innovation, support professional connection and encourage the exchange of best practice across Scotland’s library landscape. They currently meet four times a year to learn about new developments, discuss shared priorities and bring forward ideas that can be adapted locally.

Through this shared approach, the Champions Networks support SLIC’s wider commitment to strengthening Scotland’s libraries and contribute to the delivery of Fast Forward: Scotland’s Public Library Refresh by helping services turn national priorities into meaningful local action.
