Are you looking to attend the CILIPS ‘Disruptors & Innovators’ 2020 Annual Conference? If you are a CILIP member working in a Scottish public or school library you can apply to attend through the SLIC CILIPS Bursary scheme.

SLIC has a number of bursaries available for the 2020 CILIPS Conference which takes place on the 1st and 2nd of June at the Dundee Apex Hotel. The two-day event is the largest conference for library and information professionals in Scotland. This year, guest speakers include Marie Østergaard, Library Director of Aarhus Public Libraries and Dokk1 in Denmark and Jackie Kay – poet, novelist and Scots Makar.  

To apply for a bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Work for a public library service in Scotland
  • OR work for a school library service
  • Be a current member of CILIP – you should submit your membership number on your application
  • Submit a résumé of no more than 500 words outlining why you would like to attend the conference and what learning you anticipate taking back to your workplace

Please note: the bursary will cover the full conference delegate package including the Conference Dinner and overnight accommodation. It will not cover travel to and from the conference venue.
