The Community Planning Insights Tool brings together relevant data to support the planning and delivery of public library services across Scotland. It is driven by the aspiration to reach those most in need and demonstrate the outcomes.
It allows libraries to obtain demographic information about their communities and map their own data across this to identify gaps.
Links with Forward
Data driven service improvement is a key aspect of Forward: Scotland’s Public Library Strategy 2021-2025. The Insights Tool relates directly to Strategic Aim 2.2: Design library spaces which reach the heart of communities and engage with new audiences.
