Collective Force for Health and Wellbeing: Refreshed Action Plan

Virtual Launch Tuesday 22nd February 2022 10am – 12pm

Aim

The event will launch the refreshed Collective Force for Health and Wellbeing Action Plan developed by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC), the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE), the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), and the Scottish Government Health Literacy and Self-Management Team. It will provide the opportunity for partners to explore pathfinder projects which use library services to help transform local health and care delivery, by providing a go-to place for:

  • Trusted health and wellbeing information, in digital and other media
  • Digital, information and health literacy skills and access
  • Facilitated reading and storytelling for personal growth and therapeutic support
  • Social interaction and empathic  help and support – both face to face and digital

This national network of libraries will play a key role in addressing health inequalities at local level and in enabling more resilient, healthier communities to emerge from the COVID pandemic.
