In October 2018 the Scottish Library and Information Council and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer launched a new multi-sectoral partnership approach to realistic medicine and public health reform.

A special event was held in the COSLA Building in Edinburgh which looked at the potential of library services in spreading the power of knowledge to enable new models of health and wellbeing, based on self-management, shared decisions and knowledge from research and lived experience.

Below you will find in-depth information of the points discussed on the day including a look at the role of public libraries and how they can support self management. If you have any questions regarding this event, or the publications below, please get in touch by emailing info@scottishlibraries.org
