Want to share your latest library innovations with the rest of the world? Then it’s time to tell the Scottish Library and Information Council all about your bright ideas.
We have a sponsored place to give away at Internet Librarian International – a major library innovation conference which takes place in London on the 17th and 18th of October. The event offers a friendly forum for exchanging ideas, learning new skills and making unexpected connections to drive service innovations.
SLIC is offering staff in member organisations the opportunity to apply for a sponsored ILI place, which includes admission as well as travel and accommodation.
To apply, we want you to give us a brief taster of the innovations you would share with colleagues from around the globe at the event. You can do this by sending us a short elevator style pitch about how you are using digital in your role to enhance the user experience, or make libraries more awesome in general.
Submissions can be in text or video form, though we have a strong preference for the latter. Text submissions should be no more than 300 words long and videos should be around the one minute mark. Please note we will be assessing for content and enthusiasm not your video production skills; a basic vlog style post recorded via a mobile device or webcam will suffice.
Entries should be sent to email@example.com by 5pm on Friday 25th August.
