As a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak the Scottish Library and Information Council office will close from Tuesday March 17th 2020. SLIC staff will be working remotely to ensure business continuity as well as supporting SLIC members through this time.

SLIC is still operating on a daily basis and adhering too normal office hours. All staff will be able to correspond via email and video conferencing calls to keep existing workplans moving where possible. Unfortunately, staff will not be travelling to meet members, partners or stakeholders in person until the situation improves. Staff are however able to meet virtually via online video conference calls.

SLIC CEO Pamela Tulloch explained: “We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus situation and adhering to guidance issued. Our Glasgow office may be temporarily closed but SLIC is still very much open for business.

“We will be reviewing the situation on a regular basis and will provide updates when necessary on the SLIC website and across our social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. We are here for our members should they require any assistance during this time.”

SLIC urges everyone to follow advice from the Scottish Government and NHS Inform on the Coronavirus outbreak.
