Fiona is Network Librarian for Mearns with Aberdeenshire Council's Live Life Aberdeenshire where she works with local communities to provide school and public library services

She has enjoyed a long career in the sector, working with public libraries in Sydney before moving to the UK in 2002. Since then she has worked as both a School Librarian and Burgh Librarian before becoming Libraries Manager with Angus Council in 2011. In 2015 Fiona was appointed the Libraries, Customer & Culture Senior Manager with ANGUSalive where her responsibilities included the management of libraries, museums, galleries and archives as well as ACCESS offices - Angus Council's face-to-face customer contact service. Fiona started her role with Live Life Aberdeenshire in March 2020, returning to the customer-facing professional work she finds so fulfilling.
