The Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) and BBC Scotland have signed a strategic partnership to enhance the range of services offered from public libraries. Under the partnership agreement, both parties will aim to deliver two initiatives per year: one large and one small, as well as collaboration on existing programmes. The two main initiatives for 2016/17 will be Make It Digital/Build IT Scotland and Love to Read. SLIC and BBC Scotland have a strong history of productive partnership on library programmes.

The partnership which will be owned and managed centrally within the BBC, will encourage new relationships with different divisions of the BBC and public libraries.

You can visit the Love to Read Website for more information on the national reading campaign or alternatively read the Love to Read Presentation which gives details of the 2016 event.
