The Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) are pleased to announce Board approval for four proposals submitted under the Innovation and Development Fund (IDF) call. The successful bidders are:

Perth College: Can you Diigo it? (GBP1950)

A project which aims to create an online collaborative database of resources using the Diigo web 2.0 application.

SCURL: Supporting Resource Sharing Initiatives through the provision of walk-in access (WIA) to e-resources subscribed to by HE Libraries (GBP8000)

Creation of a good practice toolkit resulting from investigation into technical and operational solutions to enable HE institutions to make e-resources available to external users.

Community and Sport Glasgow: Bibliotherapy – vulnerable groups pilot West Community Health and Care partnership (GBP10,000)

To pilot positive therapeutic learning and wellbeing support to vulnerable groups using books and storytelling activities.

Napier University: MLibrary – Examining the issues surrounding adoption of mobile technology (GBP7815)

A research project to investigate student usage of and attitudes towards mobile technologies available to library services.
