The Innovation and Development Fund (IDF) was introduced to offer Scottish library services support for creative service development and to encourage experimental approaches to service delivery.

Please note that applications may only be submitted by SLIC members, excluding public library services eligible for Public Library Improvement Fund awards. Non-members and public libraries may, however, participate in joint bids led by an appropriate SLIC member.

In 2016/17, a total fund of £25,000 is available for innovative projects that support SLIC’s four strategic objectives: Advocacy, Standards, Innovation and Partnership.
