In a world where fake news is the norm, there is a need to support our communities towards achieving digital and information literacy for all.
At this Year’s Digital and Information Literacy Forum, you can learn about digital footprints, the information literacy of Scottish teenagers and new Syrian Scots.
There will also be the chance to hear from our Wikimedian in Residence and our latest editathon events.
Taking place on Friday, November 17th from 11am to 4pm at the Scottish Government’s Victoria Quay in Edinburgh, the annual event is an opportunity to hear from a range of interesting speakers and network with colleagues from various different disciplines.
The Forum is supported by the Scottish Government and coordinated by the Scottish Library and Information Council, in partnership with The Right Information, the Scottish Information Literacy Community of Practice.
Please book your place at this popular event by November 1st to guarantee a place. The event is free however places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first come served basis, and limited to two places per organisation.
If you are unable to attend yourself please feel free to pass this invitation on to other colleagues who may be interested.
