The Government's Programme for Scotland 2017-2018 underlines its commitment to create a culture strategy for Scotland which will show how important culture is to Scotland's future and enable everyone to have the opportunity to take part in or contribute to cultural life in Scotland. It is creating the strategy in collaboration with individuals, artists, cultural organisations and communities across the country.

The Scottish Library and Information Council has been invited to submit a response from the library sector and its membership. Over the next few weeks we have organised a series of four cultural conversations for those in the library community to take place in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The third session will take place in Glasgow on Friday November 3rd in the Mitchell Library from 9.30am - 12.45pm. All SLIC memberc can attend one of the sessions or send a representative.
If you would like to attend please book early as places as likely to go quickly.
