Dilys is currently the Vice Chair of the SLIC Board. She is also University Librarian and the Assistant Director of Information Services at the University of Strathclyde, a post she has held since 2012.

Ken has almost 40 years of experience in local government and worked as the head of various departments before becoming Head of Service for East Renfrewshire Council. He is the current Company Secretary of the SLIC board.

Carole began her career in Glasgow schools before moving to the FE sector working in colleges in Glasgow, Dundee and Motherwell. Carole is currently the Library and Learning Centre Manager at New College Lanarkshire.

Donald Maclean

Perth College UHI

Donald’s background lies in information science, particularly knowledge management, research skills and information literacy. He is currently the Librarian at Perth College UHI.

Abigail Mawhirt

Dundee and Angus College

Abigail’s library sector experience has spanned public, Further Education and Higher Education. She currently manages the People and Organisational Development team at Dundee and Angus College.

Peter Reid

Robert Gordon University

Peter is the Professor of Librarianship at Robert Gordon University and a leading authority of library management. He is a past Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in Scotland (CILIPS).

Ann Wales

NHS Scotland

Ann is the Programme Director for Knowledge Management in NHS Education for Scotland, leading strategic development of knowledge management in the health and social care system. She currently combines her NHS role with two commissions from the Scottish Government.

Fiona Clark

Fiona has broad experience of the Scottish public library sector and is Chair of the Association of Public Libraries in Scotlanmd (APLS). She is currently the Library & Information Services Manager with Aberdeen City Council.

John Scally

National Library of Scotland

John Scally is the National Librarian and Chief Executive of the National Library of Scotland – one of the world’s leading centres for the study of Scotland and the Scots. As well as being a SLIC Board Member, he is also a member of the British Library Advisory Council.

Fiona is the Libraries, Customer & Culture Senior Manager with ANGUSalive. Her responsibilities include the management of libraries, museums and galleries as well as ACCESS offices – Angus Council’s face-to-face customer contact service.
